Known as "lavender tea tree" in Australia, Rosalina essential oil is not as well known as either lavender or tea tree, but it definitely should be. Extremely gentle, this essential oil is the perfect substitute for eucalyptus in any kid-friendly vapor rub or diffuser blend. It works hard to help ease seasonal discomfort, calm coughs, and open up airways for better breathing. Carrying many of the same properties as lavender and tea tree,

Where can you find Rosalina eo?
Rosalina essential oil is not as prevalent of an oil compared to other more well known essential oils, so many of your favorite essential oil shops likely don't carry it! Guess what though? My favorite essential oil peeps, Plant Therapy carries it at a very reasonable price and in 3 different sizes! I use Rosalina so often in my home that it's one of the oils I buy in the large 100ml size.

Fir Needle Essential Oil | 1 drop | 4 drops | 8 drops | 20 drops |
DIRECTIONS
- In a small pan over low heat, melt the coconut oil.
- Once melted, remove from heat, and add the rosalina, lavender, and fir needle essential oils, and stir to combine.
- Pour into a Mason jar, and put into the freezer for 20 minutes, to harden.
- Rub onto your baby's chest, back, and the bottoms of their feet. Cover the feet with socks. Store any unused rub in a cool, dark location.
SAFETY TIP - Do not apply this chest rub to your child's face or directly under their nose!
Cleanse the Air Diffuser Blend
This blend is great at cleansing and freshening the air as well as kicking germs to the curb! It's also a great immune supporting blend when everyone else around you is getting sick! I like to make my diffuser blends in a larger quantity so that I can simply add the drops to my diffuser whenever I need to!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 teaspoon rosalina essential oil
- 3/4 teaspoon lavender essential oil
- 3/4 teaspoon lemon essential oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sweet marjoram essential oil
TO MAKE THE BLEND
Add all the essential oils to an empty essential oil bottle (or any dark glass bottle with a dropper), and gently swirl to combine.
TO DIFFUSE THE BLEND
Add the recommended drops from the table below to a diffuser and diffuse throughout the room in 30-minute increments (30 minutes on/30 minutes off).
0-6 mo. | 6-24 mo. | 2-6 yr. | 6+ yr. |
2 drops | 4 drops | 6 drops | 8-10 drops |
Growing Pains Relief Bath
This bath can be used for more than just growing pains! You can use this bath for muscle pain relief, stress, anxiety, and even to help relax the mind and body before going to bed!
INGREDIENTS | 2-6 yr. | 6+ yr. |
Rosalina Essential Oil | 3 drops | 4 drops |
Lavender Essential Oil | 2 drops | 3 drops |
Roman chamomile essential oil | 1 drops | 2 drops |
Liquid Castile Soap (or bubble bath) | 1 Tbsp. | 1 Tbsp. |
Epsom Salt | 1 cup | 1 cup |
DIRECTIONS
- In a small bowl, stir the rosalina, lavender, and Roman chamomile essential oils into the liquid castile soap.
- In a medium bowl, stir the soap mixture into the Epsom salt.
- Pour the mixture under the running bath water as you fill the tub!
SAFETY TIP - The soap is extremely important to this recipe because it will help the essential oils to blend into the water, rather than float on top! When they float on top of the water, they can cause skin irritation. You can substitute a mild shampoo, bubble bath, or even a carrier oil (such as coconut or olive oil) in place of the liquid castile soap in this recipe.
